ALPhA Research Opportunities -- Spring 2022
Independent Research projects
These projects can be crafted as a CSC independent study course or a PHY independent research course. Contact Dr. Kuchera or Dr. Ramanujan before the semester starts to learn more!
- Machine Learning for Jefferson Lab
- Description: Use deep neural networks to describe the internal structure of a nucleon (structure functions) from experimental and theoretical data
- Machine Learning for the Facility for Rare Isotope Beams
- Description: Use machine learning and reinforcement learning architectures to study the quantum structure of a nucleus and support experimental operations at the accelerator facility.
